卡尔顿大学于1942年成立，是加拿大著名的公立大学，在2012年《麦克林》杂志（Maclean's）排名榜上位于综合类大学第七。卡尔顿大学拥有15个教学研究学院，75个研究中心，开设一百多种专业的本科课程，并与商业机构及其他教育单位有着良好的合作关系，更与全世界各国政府单位及学术机构有超过60门学术课程的交流。
卡尔顿大学位于加拿大首都渥太华市中心，是一所英语大学，学校在新闻传媒，经济学，公共事务管理，生化等高科技领域享有盛誉。卡尔顿大学是加拿大第一所创立新闻学系和公共管理学系的大学，也是加拿大大学及学院委员会的成员，还是国际大学联合会的成员。渥太华是加拿大第四大城市，也是高科技企业密集区，环境优美、风景秀丽，是著名的国际会议和旅游、体育运动的圣地，渥太华多种文化并存，是一个多语言的国际都市，英语和法语并用。

本科录取学术要求：3年高中成绩单（平均成绩80%以上），会考成绩、高中毕业证
语言要求：托福IBT86（口语和写作不低于22），雅思6.5（单项不低于6.0）
ESL双录取：托福IBT61-85(单项不低于15)，雅思5.0-6.4（单项不低于4.5
研究生录取学术要求：硕士学位要求4年制荣誉本科学位（专业课平均成绩B+；）；博士学位要求硕士学位（平均成绩B+，包括论文，每门课不低于B-）
语言要求：托福IBT86（口语和写作不低于22），雅思6.5（单项不低于6.0）
