埃塞克斯大学图书节即将开幕!

这届图书节将成为大学历年来规模最大，图书最全的一次图书节。

活动会在大学校园还有城市里的多个地点同时举行。活动详情包括：

Friday 2 March: Lakeside Writers Showcase - presenting work-in-progress from members of the Lakeside Writers.

Saturday 10 March: Luke Wright and Ross Sutherland - poetry evening.

Monday 19 March: Dr Kevin Dutton - talk about his bestselling psychology book

Flipnosis: The Art of Persuasion.

Sunday 25 March: Burrows Lecture - Peter Holman will explore Essex’s musical history.

Saturday 3 March: LiFTS will host Trees Shall Be Our Books, a day of walks, talks, readings and workshops bringing together scientists, writers and artists.

Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall, Colchester Campus

Tuesday 3 April: Jodi Picoult explores her new novel Lone Wolf.

Corbett Theatre, East 15 Acting School, Loughton Campus

Friday 23 March: chaired by the Head of the Department of History, Dr Alison Rowlands, BBC historian Dr Kate Williams will be talk about her new historical novel, The Pleasures of Men.

The Gateway Building, Southend Campus

Tuesday 20 March: Professor Jules Pretty will talk about his experience exploring the East Anglian coastline.

Elmer Suite, Southend Campus

Sunday 4 March: Andrew Burton’s inspirational workshop will set goals for aspiring careers in writing.

Tuesday 6 March: Marina Warner will talk about her now book, Stranger Magic.

Friday16 March: Adrian May and Phillip Terry will host reading and discussion of their recent works.

2 埃塞克斯大学Career Centre （就业中心），新一轮的frontrunners又开始了！

埃塞克斯大学的同学们对frontrunners早已不陌生了，新一轮的工作机会又来了。frontrunners是学校提供给在校学生的，有偿的打工机会，一般为临时工作，工资待遇良好。此次frontrunners的机会主要针对暑假期间，有多达200个工作岗位和机会，之前曾经有机会参加过该项目的同学都会100%推荐新生去报名参加。

从3月12日-3月22日期间，将有50种不同的工作机会发出，这些工作主要从七月正式开始，目前为申请阶段。所有的工作信息届时都将可以在frontrunner主页发布，岗位将包括宿舍、学生会和其他不同专业服务项目。
