新闻研究本科已截止申请： 

The Department of Journalism have now closed applications for the BA 

Journalism Studies. We have received a large volume of applications this 

year for this very popular course. Therefore students will no longer be 

able to select this as an option for 2012 entry on UCAS. This is because 

all places have been filled following the official UCAS deadline of 15th 

January. Any applications received after this date will no longer be 

able to be considered. Please advise students interested in this course 

that they would need to apply for 2013 entry next year.

From this year, all students applying for PGT courses at the University 

of Sheffield will be required to pay a deposit of £1000 before they will 

be issued CAS. Students will only be able to pay their deposit once they 

are unconditional accept (UA) with us (they must have met all conditions 

of their offer, hold an unconditional offer and have accepted their 

place). Information will be sent out about how to do this once the 

student is UA with us.

Applications for the 17-week pre-sessional courses are now closed and

places on the 10-week pre-sessional courses are close to being full. We 

therefore recommend that if any of your students are wanting to apply, 

they do so as soon as possible. Applications for ELTC courses must be 

sent to the ELTC directly. We are not involved in the ELTC 

administrative procedures in the International Office, and therefore we 

recommend that you liaise with them directly for more information.
