肯特大学教授排列了猪基因组对动物的进化有了深入理解

Darren Griffin, Professor of Genetics at the School of Biosciences of the University of Kent, is among an international group of scientists to have sequenced the pig genome to provide an insight into the animal's demography and evolution.

 

达伦.格里芬教授是猪基因组序列团的成员组合分析比对了雌性杜洛克猪的基因序列，还和来自欧洲及亚洲地区的野生和家养的猪对比。这个调查报告于11月15日被<<自然>>杂志作为封面故事发表。

Professor Griffin is a member of the Swine Genome Sequencing Consortium that assembled and analysed the genome sequence of a female domestic Duroc pig and compared it with the genomes of wild and domestic pigs from Europe and Asia. The consortium's research is being published by Nature on 15 November as its cover story.

Professor Griffin, an author on the paper, said: 'Our part of the project was to compare the gross genomic differences between pigs, humans and cattle.
